Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Process Expert to design and optimize business models, processes, and capability frameworks. The expert will coordinate the application of architecture standards with junior colleagues and contribute to the implementation of enterprise architecture across EU Commission projects.
The role requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills to work across teams, influence organizational change, and ensure alignment with EU governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, model, and optimize business processes and organizational capabilities.
- Coordinate the application of enterprise architecture standards with junior experts.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture implementation across EU Commission IT systems.
- Conduct risk analysis, process assessment, and support organizational change initiatives.
- Build long-term professional relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in pedagogics, public administration, communication, marketing, or social sciences, OR a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Fluent in English (C1); strong French (B2) is an asset.
- Professional certification in Business Architecture (e.g., BPMN, BP CBOK, TOGAF, ARIS).
- Proven ability to work across teams and use interpersonal skills to build professional relationships.
- Knowledge of business process management in EU IT systems is an asset.
- Understanding of EU administrative rules, procurement, and contract management is an asset.
Professional Experience
General:
- Minimum 8 years in Business Process Management and Governance.
Specific:
- At least 8 years in business process analysis, modelling, optimization, risk assessment, and organizational change management.
- Experience as a Business Process Consultant or Solution Architect on 5+ large-scale projects.
- Hands-on experience with process modelling tools such as Aris, Archi, or Enterprise Architect.
