Job Title: Dell Field Service Engineer – Norway
Location: Lefdal Mine Data Center, Selje, Norway (with occasional remote sites)
Type: 3-Year Contract (Full-Time)
Rate: €4050 per month
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Dell Field Service Engineer to provide 24/7, 4-hour on-site warranty and break/fix support for Dell Enterprise and HES products.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring Dell certifications, Norwegian language fluency, and the ability to work independently under strict SLA commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site hardware break/fix and SmartHands support for Dell Enterprise (PowerEdge XE) and HES (PowerStore, PowerScale) products.
- Respond to tickets within 4-hour SLA (24/7 coverage).
- Follow Dell FE Handbook, SOPs, and customer-specific processes.
- Maintain real-time updates in ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
- Comply with customer health, safety, and security policies.
- Maintain certification status and participate in required Dell training.
- Travel to remote locations as required; manage associated travel logistics.
- Retainer engineers will be called upon to cover absences, peak workloads, or additional service needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Fluent in Norwegian and English.
- Dell certifications for the following product families (or willingness to complete):
- Dell Enterprise: PowerEdge XE
- Dell HES: PowerStore, PowerScale
- Experience in hardware maintenance, repair, and IT field support.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and security compliance in industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently under strict SLA requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in data centers or industrial IT environments.
- Experience delivering SmartHands services.
- Multi-vendor hardware support experience.
Contract & Compensation
- Full-Time Engineer: 3-year contract covering primary site with SLA obligations.
- Backfill Engineers: Retainer-based arrangement for coverage as needed.
- Training costs reimbursed upon completion.
- Monthly retainer plus per-ticket payments.
- Travel, hotel, and ferry costs reimbursed for remote locations.
