Contract Duration: 1 year (with possibility of extension)
Rate:
- Senior Desktop Engineer: €300-330 per day (depending on experience)
- Junior Desktop Engineer: €200 – €230 per day (depending on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Desktop Engineers to join our IT team at our Athens location. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing technical support, managing desktop environments, and ensuring smooth operation of end-user computing systems. This is a contract role for 1 year, with potential for extension.
Open Positions
- Senior Desktop Engineer: 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Junior Desktop Engineer: 3–5 years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based desktop environments and applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within corporate IT systems.
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to resolve IT incidents efficiently.
- Deploy software updates, patches, and security fixes in a timely manner.
- Document technical procedures and support activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of desktop policies and standards.
- Support end-users through ticketing systems and direct communication channels.
- Mentor junior staff (Senior role) and contribute to continuous team improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in desktop engineering/support with the required years for each level.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and common enterprise software.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and desktop imaging tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, CompTIA A+) are a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek is beneficial but not mandatory.
