Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to assist with the deployment, maintenance, and support of both first-party and third-party technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud services, networking environments, and Windows server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow detailed technical instructions to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex solutions.
- Provide support for first-party client and virtual reality devices such as Microsoft Surface Suite and HoloLens.
- Support content delivery applications including Fourwinds.
- Provide client-side support for Microsoft Teams.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and administration of Microsoft Azure services.
- Work with Azure tools including Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Perform scripting and automation tasks using PowerShell, JSON, and Kusto.
- Support Windows Server environments including storage infrastructure.
- Assist in operating system image deployment and virtualization using Hyper-V.
- Manage and support Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS services.
- Provide support for network deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
- Understand and support power and cooling infrastructure requirements in technical environments.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong ability to follow technical documentation and deployment procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Surface devices and HoloLens.
- Experience supporting content delivery platforms such as Fourwinds.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams on the client side.
- Foundational knowledge and strong interest in cloud technologies and emerging computing trends.
- Experience administering Microsoft Azure with a good understanding of core Azure services, workloads, security, and governance.
- Experience using Azure CLI, Azure Portal, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Foundation-level scripting skills in PowerShell, JSON, and Kusto.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server and storage environments.
- Experience with networking technologies including LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
- Hands-on experience with OS imaging, Hyper-V, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900 or AZ-104 are strongly preferred.
Work Authorization & Engagement Type
- This role is open only to independent contractors. Candidates must be able to work on a contract basis and manage their own taxes and legal employment status.
