Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior IT Engineer to provide onsite technical support to users in Vienna. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career to gain practical, hands-on experience in a structured enterprise environment. You will act as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT issues, delivering professional support and ensuring a high-quality user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line deskside support to users across the Vienna offices, resolving or escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with the setup, installation, and troubleshooting of end-user devices, including PCs, laptops, mobile phones, and peripherals.
- Support audiovisual (AV) and meeting room equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Perform basic smart hands tasks on network or server equipment with guidance from senior engineering teams.
- Log and manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow, following established workflows.
- Identify unusual or complex issues and escalate them to L2 teams as needed.
- Maintain excellent customer satisfaction through clear, friendly communication and a proactive approach.
Required Skills & Experience
Language
- Native-level German (essential)
- Conversational English (required)
Technical Skills
- 1–2 years’ experience in IT support, deskside support, or a related role.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and general desktop troubleshooting.
- Basic familiarity with Apple macOS and Apple hardware (preferred).
- Experience supporting mobile devices (Android and iOS).
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
- Advantageous: exposure to JAMF, SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, or other endpoint management systems.
Soft Skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a confident, helpful attitude.
- Clear communicator, capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical users.
- Organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about learning and developing IT skills.
