Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead OT infrastructure operations while providing L3 support for enterprise network security, with a primary focus on Palo Alto firewalls. The role is responsible for ensuring secure, stable, and reliable industrial IT environments, managing critical incidents, driving operational governance, and maintaining service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
OT Infrastructure Operations
- Own OT infrastructure operations and ensure service stability.
- Maintain critical industrial infrastructure with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate incidents, changes, and operational activities across plant operations, engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and vendors.
- Monitor operational risks, aging infrastructure, and service performance.
- Maintain documentation, operational standards, and continuous service improvements.
Network Security Operations
- Provide L3 support for Palo Alto firewalls across datacenter, branch, and hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot security policies, NAT, routing, VPNs, traffic flow, application identification, URL filtering, and threat prevention.
- Manage Palo Alto features including Panorama, GlobalProtect, IPSec VPN, App-ID, User-ID, WildFire, Security Policies, and NAT.
- Review firewall logs, optimize policies, perform rule recertification, and support firewall migrations and deployments.
Incident & Change Management
- Act as the escalation point for P1/P2 security incidents.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and coordinate with network, server, cloud, application, and security teams.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements.
- Execute infrastructure changes with risk assessment, testing, rollback planning, and post-change validation.
Operations & Governance
- Manage daily security operations while ensuring SLA compliance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, project teams, and vendors.
- Prepare operational reports, risk updates, and service improvement plans.
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, topology documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support audits, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and firewall governance.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, VPN, SSL/IPSec, firewall policies, and packet analysis.
- Experience with firewall policy management, security operations, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Good understanding of OT infrastructure, Windows/Linux systems, virtualization, networking, backup/recovery, remote connectivity, and production-critical environments.
- Strong incident management, troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure/AWS cloud security experience.
- SIEM and security monitoring integration.
- Knowledge of other firewall platforms.
- ITIL knowledge.
- Automation or scripting experience.
