Title: Penetration Tester – Mons, Belgium- NATO clearance required
Start date: 3 August 2026
Location: Mons, Belgium
Duration: until 31 December 2025 (+ extension 2027/2028 as indicated)
Remote work: 1–2 days per week, after an initial on-site period of 2 months.
Pay of Rate: 600 euros per day
Job description:
- Lead and/or participate in Red and Blue Team activities during NATO military exercises;
- Conduct penetration testing at web, infrastructure, and application levels;
- Perform security design reviews to ensure compliance with NATO policies and directives;
- Provide security consultancy and advisory support to projects, plans, and other stakeholders;
- Establish and maintain effective communication with various stakeholders, including the NCIA Configuration Control Board, Security Accreditation Boards, NATO Security Accreditation Authorities, and NCI Agency units supporting accreditation processes.
Skills required:
The role requires more than 3 years of extensive experience in the following areas:
- Web application penetration testing;
- IT infrastructure penetration testing;
- Network security architecture design;
- Identification and assessment of vulnerabilities in operating systems, software, protocols, and networks;
- Research and evaluation of security products and technologies;
- Administration knowledge of UNIX and Windows systems;
- Use of penetration testing tools, techniques, and standard methodologies;
- Scripting in at least one language (Perl, Python, Ruby, or shell such as bash, ksh, or csh);
- Strong understanding of system and network security, authentication mechanisms, security protocols, cryptography, application security, malware infection techniques, and defensive technologies;
- Ability to assess risks and define mitigation strategies.
