Job Title: Penetration Tester / NATO Secret/ UK Security Check
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester to join a mission-critical security cell in Mons, Belgium. This role involves executing high-level security assessments, providing architectural guidance, and participating in large-scale military exercises to safeguard NATO infrastructure and applications. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between deep technical analysis and executive-level communication.
Position Details
- Domain: NATO
- Location: Mons, Belgium
- Start Date: April 4, 2026
- Duration: Initial contract through December 31, 2026 (with extension options through 2027 and 2028).
- Pay of rate: €600.00 per day
- Deployment: * 80% On-site work in Mons and 20% Travel within NATO member countries.
- Language Requirements: English (Fluency required).
- Security Clearance: Must hold an active NATO Secret or UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Web, infrastructure and application level penetration testing;
- Provide security design reviews to ensure compliance with NATO policies and directives;
- Lead and/or be part of the Red/Blue Team during NATO military exercises
- Provide security consultancy and advice to projects, plans, and other entities;
- Build and sustain effective communications with different stakeholders;
- Brief at both executive and technical levels on security reports and testing outcome, including at flag officer level;
- In co-ordination with the Head of the Penetration testing Cell, ensure proactive collaboration and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in specialized penetration testing.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in web application and IT infrastructure penetration testing.
- Deep understanding of network security architecture design.
- Ability to assess vulnerabilities within OS (UNIX/Windows), software, protocols, and networks.
- Tooling & Automation: * Expertise in industry-standard penetration testing tools and methodologies.
- Strong scripting skills in at least one language: Python, Perl, Ruby, or Shell (bash, ksh, csh).
- Security Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of authentication protocols, cryptography, malware infection techniques, and protection technologies.
- Reporting: Proven ability to draft structured technical reports, including executive summaries and detailed remediation plans.
